Before & After is a novel with main characters including Prof. Mike Nostrus (AKA Michel de Nostradamus), his amazingly long-lived and telepathic cat (or should be perhaps say that Mike is Aristo's human?) Aristotle, Deborah the martial arts expert, Adam the journalist, Ted Trundell the televangelist, a few demons of hell (including the Masticating Monks of Montpellier), some Assault Angels and of course the exploding sheep.

Armageddon is approaching, so Mike, Aristo and Deborah seek sanctuary in the oddly named Welsh village of Noddegamra. However, nothing is this simple, and the intrepid trio are plagued by a number of menaces such as: Ted Trundell the televangelist who wants to save Mike's soul on live TV and will do anything to manage it, Adam the journalist who wants to write an exposing story on Mike's supposed evil powers, The demons Rubicante and Guttlehog who are intent on killing Mike and even Gwylym and Ivan of the Gwynedd People's Liberation Army (Noddegamra Front) - the only members - who seem to believe Mike to be an MI5 Officer intent on supressing the Welsh language and culture.
